This Copyright and DMCA Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, Privacy Policy, and other applicable Localio policies.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to:
Nothing in this Policy limits rights that applicable law does not permit to be waived.
Localio may contain content provided by:
This may include:
The person submitting content to Localio is responsible for ensuring that the submission complies with applicable copyright and other intellectual-property law.
You must not knowingly upload, publish, reproduce, distribute, display, transmit, or otherwise make available through Localio material that infringes another person’s copyright.
Before submitting material, you should have:
The fact that material is available elsewhere online does not necessarily mean that it can lawfully be copied or republished on Localio.
Copyright law includes exceptions and limitations that may permit use of copyrighted material without authorization from a copyright owner.
Depending on applicable law and circumstances, these may include concepts such as:
Localio’s copyright rules are not intended to prohibit lawful uses of copyrighted material.
A copyright complaint should therefore consider whether the complained-of use may be legally permitted.
Localio may display Business names, trademarks, logos, product names, screenshots, or other identifying information in connection with:
The appearance of such material on Localio does not necessarily establish copyright or trademark infringement.
Depending on the circumstances, use may be authorized, nominative, descriptive, informational, comparative, licensed, subject to fair use or another legal doctrine, or otherwise lawful.
Nothing in this Policy constitutes an admission that a Business owns exclusive rights in every use of its name, logo, image, screenshot, or other material appearing on Localio.
The display or use of such identifying material does not require that the relevant Business have an affiliate, advertising, sponsorship, referral, or other commercial relationship with Localio, except where applicable law or a binding agreement requires otherwise.
User-generated and Business-generated content generally represents content supplied by the applicable contributor.
Publication of third-party content on Localio does not by itself mean Legalio24 LLC:
Localio may moderate third-party content as described in our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, Localio does not undertake a general obligation to:
Localio may nevertheless use:
to identify or address suspected infringement.
Voluntarily using such measures does not create a continuing duty to use them in every case.
For matters within the scope of United States copyright law, Localio intends to rely, where applicable, on limitations on liability and safe-harbor protections available under 17 U.S.C. § 512, including protections applicable to online service providers hosting, transmitting, caching, linking to, or otherwise dealing with material supplied by users or third parties.
Nothing in this Policy constitutes an admission that:
Legalio24 LLC reserves all rights, defenses, immunities, safe harbors, limitations, and other protections available under copyright law and other applicable law.
To obtain and maintain applicable protection under 17 U.S.C. § 512 where required, an eligible service provider must designate an agent for receipt of qualifying copyright notices and maintain the required designation with the United States Copyright Office.
Localio’s registered DMCA designated-agent information will be published in this section once the designation has been completed and is current with the U.S. Copyright Office.
Until that information is published, copyright-related communications may be submitted through Localio’s general contact mechanism.
A general Localio contact method is not represented by this Policy to be a registered DMCA designated agent unless and until Localio expressly identifies it as such in this section and the applicable designation has been completed.
Once registered, this section should identify the designated agent’s:
as required by applicable U.S. law.
If you believe material available through Localio infringes copyright that you own or are authorized to enforce, you may submit a notification of claimed infringement to Localio’s designated DMCA agent once that agent information is published above.
A notice should substantially comply with the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).
A valid notice generally must include the information described below.
The notice should identify the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
If multiple copyrighted works on Localio are covered by a single notice, the notice may provide a representative list where applicable law permits.
The identification should be sufficiently clear to allow us to understand what copyrighted work is being asserted.
The notice should identify the material claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity and provide information reasonably sufficient for Localio to locate it.
Where possible, please provide:
Broad statements such as “your website infringes my copyright” may be insufficient to locate the material at issue.
A DMCA notice should provide information reasonably sufficient for Localio to contact the complaining party.
This generally includes information such as:
The information supplied may be processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
A DMCA notice should contain a statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by:
A DMCA notice should contain a statement that:
The notice should include a physical or electronic signature of:
A notice that includes the information required by applicable law allows Localio to evaluate and process the request more efficiently.
Submitting a complaint does not automatically establish infringement.
Localio may consider:
Where a notice does not substantially satisfy applicable statutory requirements, Localio may:
Where U.S. law requires Localio to take reasonable steps to assist a notice sender in obtaining missing information after receipt of particular minimum information, Localio will do so to the extent legally required.
Nothing in this section obligates Localio to treat every informal complaint as a valid DMCA notification.
Where Localio receives a notification that substantially complies with applicable DMCA requirements and the requirements for the applicable safe harbor are otherwise met, Localio may act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the material claimed to be infringing.
Depending on the circumstances, Localio may also:
Localio does not guarantee any particular outcome merely because a notice has been submitted.
If Localio removes or disables access to content after receiving a copyright notice, that action does not necessarily mean that Legalio24 LLC has determined that:
Removal or restriction may be undertaken to comply with applicable law, preserve available safe-harbor protections, reduce legal risk, or otherwise administer Localio.
Where required or appropriate, Localio may notify the person who submitted the affected material that access has been removed or disabled.
We may provide information reasonably necessary for the person to understand the copyright claim or exercise applicable counter-notification rights.
Information may be withheld where:
If content you submitted is removed or disabled because of a DMCA notification and you believe the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification, you may be entitled to submit a counter-notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).
A counter-notification should substantially comply with applicable statutory requirements.
A counter-notification should identify:
Provide enough information to allow Localio to identify the affected content.
A counter-notification should include a statement under penalty of perjury that the person submitting it has a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of:
For a counter-notification governed by U.S. DMCA requirements, the counter-notification must include the jurisdictional consent required by applicable law.
This generally includes consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court and agreement to accept service of process from:
as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g).
Localio does not provide legal advice concerning which jurisdictional statement applies to a particular person.
A counter-notification should include information required by applicable law, which generally includes:
Where Localio receives a counter-notification that substantially satisfies applicable DMCA requirements, Localio may provide a copy to the person who submitted the original notice.
Where applicable law requires restoration after a valid counter-notification, Localio may restore or cease disabling access to the material within the period established by law unless Localio first receives legally sufficient notice that the original claimant has initiated an appropriate court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement.
Nothing in this Policy requires Localio to restore material where another independent reason justifies continued restriction, including:
Submission of a counter-notification does not guarantee that Localio will restore content.
Restoration may depend on:
Do not knowingly submit false, fraudulent, deceptive, or materially misleading copyright complaints.
Under applicable U.S. law, a person who knowingly materially misrepresents that:
may potentially be liable for damages, costs, or attorneys’ fees as provided by law.
Localio also reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to take action against abuse of copyright-reporting procedures.
Copyright reporting procedures must not be used improperly to:
Localio may consider evidence of abusive reporting when deciding what action is legally or operationally appropriate.
Nothing in this section prevents a copyright owner from enforcing valid rights.
Where required for applicable DMCA safe-harbor protection, Localio maintains and reasonably implements a policy providing for termination, in appropriate circumstances, of users or account holders who are repeat copyright infringers.
Whether circumstances warrant restriction or termination may depend on factors including:
Localio is not required to apply automatic termination after a fixed number of allegations unless applicable law requires a particular rule.
A copyright allegation alone is not necessarily a final legal determination of infringement.
Subject to applicable law and our Terms of Service, Localio may take action concerning accounts involved in copyright violations.
Possible measures may include:
Localio does not guarantee progressive enforcement or advance warning unless applicable law requires it.
Where applicable provisions of 17 U.S.C. § 512 require accommodation of and non-interference with qualifying standard technical measures used by copyright owners, Legalio24 LLC intends to comply to the extent legally required for applicable safe-harbor protection.
Nothing in this section constitutes an agreement to implement:
unless applicable law actually requires such implementation.
Nothing in this Policy should be interpreted as Localio voluntarily assuming a general duty to monitor its Services for copyright infringement.
Where applicable U.S. law does not impose an affirmative obligation on an eligible provider to monitor generally for infringement, Localio reserves that protection.
Localio may nevertheless voluntarily use reasonable detection or moderation technologies without thereby creating a broader monitoring obligation.
Localio may provide:
Where an applicable provision of copyright law provides protection concerning information-location tools, Legalio24 LLC reserves all available protections.
A link to an external website does not necessarily mean that Localio:
Some materials displayed through Localio may be technically hosted, delivered, embedded, cached, or otherwise provided through third-party infrastructure.
The appropriate copyright notice recipient may therefore sometimes be another provider.
Localio may direct a claimant to another service provider where appropriate.
Nothing in this Policy obligates Localio to enforce copyright rights against an independent third-party service provider.
The DMCA notice-and-counter-notice process is primarily a copyright procedure.
Complaints involving:
may be subject to different legal standards and procedures.
Localio may provide other reporting mechanisms for such concerns.
Submitting a non-copyright complaint as a DMCA notice does not require Localio to process it under the DMCA.
If you believe content on Localio unlawfully infringes a trademark, you may contact Localio through the applicable reporting or contact mechanism.
A trademark complaint should preferably identify:
Localio may request additional information.
Submission of a trademark complaint does not guarantee removal.
Localio is a platform concerning Businesses, products, and services.
Accordingly, Localio and its users may need to refer to:
to identify, review, compare, criticize, discuss, or provide information concerning a Business, product, or service.
Nothing in Localio’s policies should be interpreted as conceding that every such reference constitutes infringement.
Localio reserves all rights and defenses available for nominative, descriptive, comparative, informational, fair, or other lawful use.
A person cannot generally use copyright ownership over isolated facts, ideas, experiences, ratings, or opinions to obtain control over independent user commentary merely by asserting copyright.
At the same time, reviews or discussions may contain copyrighted expression owned by another person.
Localio will evaluate copyright complaints concerning review content under applicable law and the relevant circumstances.
A Business’s disagreement with the substance of a review is not itself a copyright claim.
Reviews and discussions may sometimes include:
Whether such use is lawful depends on the circumstances and applicable law.
Potential considerations may include:
Localio does not guarantee that any particular use qualifies for an exception.
Unless otherwise indicated, content created and owned by Legalio24 LLC may be protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
This may include, where protectable:
Rights in third-party materials remain with their respective owners.
Access to Localio does not transfer ownership of Localio’s intellectual property to users or Businesses.
Any limited rights to use Localio are governed by the Terms of Service.
Nothing in this Copyright and DMCA Policy grants an additional license beyond one expressly provided in the Terms of Service or another binding agreement.
Users who submit content to Localio grant rights concerning that content as described in the Terms of Service.
This Copyright and DMCA Policy does not replace, narrow, or expand those license provisions.
Where there is any conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service concerning licenses granted to Legalio24 LLC, the Terms of Service control to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Even if a copyright claim is:
Localio may continue restricting the relevant content where another independent basis exists.
Such bases may include:
If Localio restores material after a copyright dispute, restoration does not mean Legalio24 LLC:
Localio may preserve copyright notices, counter-notifications, content, account information, logs, correspondence, evidence, and other related information where reasonably necessary or legally permitted for:
Processing of personal information associated with such records is addressed in our Privacy Policy.
Copyright complaints and counter-notifications are legal communications.
Localio may disclose them, or information contained in them, where reasonably necessary or legally permitted to:
Do not include information in a copyright notice that is unnecessary for the legal process.
Copyright notices may contain personal information.
Our handling of such information is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Submitting a copyright notice does not create a right to obtain private information about another Localio user.
Localio will disclose user information only where permitted or required by applicable law.
A copyright owner or other claimant seeking identifying or non-public information concerning a Localio user may need to use legally valid process.
Localio may respond to:
as permitted or required by applicable law.
Localio may challenge, narrow, reject, or seek clarification of legal process where legally permitted.
Nothing in this Policy requires Localio to challenge every request.
Localio operates internationally.
Copyright laws and intermediary-liability rules vary between jurisdictions.
A copyright complaint outside the United States may be handled according to:
Nothing in this Policy means that the U.S. DMCA procedure automatically governs a copyright dispute outside its legal scope.
Where European Union copyright law or national copyright law of an EU Member State applies, Localio will comply with mandatory copyright and intermediary obligations applicable to Legalio24 LLC to the extent legally required.
Depending on the circumstances, relevant law may include:
Nothing in this section voluntarily subjects Localio to obligations applicable only to a different category of service or to services meeting statutory conditions that Localio does not meet.
Where the European Union Digital Services Act applies to Localio and a copyright complaint qualifies as a notice concerning alleged illegal content, Localio may process the notice under applicable DSA notice-and-action procedures in addition to or instead of another copyright procedure where legally appropriate.
Nothing in this section creates a worldwide contractual right to DSA procedures.
Where United Kingdom copyright or intermediary law applies, Localio will comply with mandatory requirements applicable to it.
This may include consideration of:
Nothing in this section expands Localio’s obligations beyond applicable UK law.
Where Canadian, Australian, or New Zealand copyright or intermediary law applies, Localio will handle copyright concerns in accordance with mandatory applicable requirements.
Copyright exceptions, intermediary protections, notice requirements, and remedies may differ from U.S. DMCA rules.
Nothing in this Policy voluntarily imports U.S. DMCA requirements into those jurisdictions.
Where copyright or intermediary law in another jurisdiction legally applies to Legalio24 LLC or relevant Localio activity, Localio will comply with mandatory requirements to the extent applicable.
Nothing in this Policy:
Where mandatory local law conflicts with this Policy, the mandatory law controls only to the minimum extent legally necessary.
Information in this Copyright and DMCA Policy is provided to explain Localio’s procedures.
It does not constitute legal advice to:

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, submission of a copyright complaint does not guarantee:
Where applicable law requires a particular procedure or response, Localio will comply to the extent legally required.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Legalio24 LLC reserves all statutory, common-law, constitutional, contractual, and other protections, defenses, immunities, limitations, and safe harbors available in connection with:
Nothing in this Policy waives or narrows:
Nothing in this section represents that 47 U.S.C. § 230 itself provides immunity for intellectual-property claims where applicable law excludes such claims from its scope.
Localio may voluntarily:
Unless applicable law provides otherwise, voluntarily taking such action:
Except where applicable law expressly provides otherwise, this Policy does not create third-party beneficiary rights.
No person acquires a contractual right to require Localio to:

A copyright complaint does not prevent Localio from taking action under the Community Guidelines for an independent reason.
Our Privacy Policy governs Legalio24 LLC’s processing of personal information associated with:
Nothing in this Copyright and DMCA Policy creates privacy obligations broader than those imposed by applicable law or the Privacy Policy.
The Terms of Service form part of the legal framework governing your relationship with Legalio24 LLC and your use of Localio.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, any contractual limitation period established by the Terms of Service for claims brought primarily for business, commercial, trade, or professional purposes also applies to claims arising out of or relating to this Policy or Localio’s handling of intellectual-property matters.
Where applicable law prohibits contractual shortening of a limitations period, the mandatory period applies.
This Copyright and DMCA Policy is subject to the governing-law, jurisdiction, venue, arbitration, and dispute-resolution provisions contained in the Terms of Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, a claimant may not avoid those provisions merely by characterizing a dispute as arising independently under this Copyright and DMCA Policy, from Localio’s copyright or moderation practices, or under intellectual-property, statutory, tort, consumer-protection, unfair-competition, or other law rather than under the Terms of Service.
This anti-recharacterization provision applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law regardless of the:
Nothing in this section modifies jurisdictional consent that applicable law specifically requires as part of a valid DMCA counter-notification.
Nothing in this section eliminates mandatory forum, jurisdictional, intellectual-property, or other rights that applicable law does not permit to be waived.
Nothing in this section voluntarily submits Legalio24 LLC to jurisdiction where applicable law does not otherwise establish jurisdiction.
